We drove to Greenville, SC, to see the weigh-ins and attend the expo. SK didn't make it this year, but it was only four hours from the house so we figured we go see everybody.
Kerry hooked us up with the family rate on the hotel room, and seats in the TD arena Fr weigh-ins.

Valentine's Afternoon

After the trees, we hit the road to Lake Martin's Wind Creek SP for the Basssmaster High School Southern Open weigh in.
SK talked to everyone. We went for a beach hike around the lake. We found cool lost things-rattletrap, swim masks, pliers, a golf ball, and a turtle shell. Another objective-heart shaped anything.

Planting Oaks

We went to the planting of the new Auburn Toomer's corner oak trees on Valentine's Day. Festivities started at 7:30am, we arrived at about 9. The first hole wasn't big enough, so we were just in time to see it lowered!
Absolutely beautiful.
Nice crowd was watching. They had the roads blocked off and barriers for safety.
