Deer...seeing Louie
Cardinal in flight, but looks
to me like he was shot out of a cannon!
Cardinal playing peek-a-boo in tree. Hawk, interrupted his racoon roadkill brunch.
Louie checking out Pecos River...don't worry leash was on! Pecos River High Bridge
1,310 feet long completed in 1957

Results Day One

Well, Steve had a limit that weighed 12-10.
(Not what he wanted to bring to the scales)
He's 39 out of 60, and about a pound behind the head to head.

From Monday, Feb 4

Seminole Canyon State Park
So...the tour started at 3pm...we got there at 3:15.
No tour for us! Come back!
We did walk to the edge of the canyon, looked in.
If you squint you can see there is a hiker on the floor.
Yep...big ditch.

Checking out the statue that the park is known for...

"The Maker of Peace" by Bill Worrell

Pretty plant that was on the walk

Since we missed out on the canyon tour, thought we'd make our own

canyon tour by driving down "Box Canyon Road".

Learned a new vocab word: misnomer

This was what we found at the end of the road.

Please notice the sign under the speed limit sign.

We U-turned...

Day One...FLW Series Amistad

Well, it's started. Had beautiful but COLD weather this morning for blast off.
Yes, I said cold, as in 38 degrees. I learned my lesson, not taunting anyone...
please turn back on my warm weather!!!
All went well, no slips on ramp.
The Del Rio High School choir sang the National Anthem before blast off.
Blast off started AT 7 AM...those kids got up pretty early to sing in the cold!
Huge Louie claps to them.

Getting ready to leave

Forgot Louie's sweater this AM,

friend kept him warm during blast off!

Sunrise...they actually went out at safe light

(before sun was really up, up)

Louie on point for our photo safari

Deer...almost looked two headed

Checking lake out the window
