Day One at the Beach

Here is Soso after playing in the surf & sand for the first time.
She loved it...but had to crash for a power nap.
Reba(Betsy & Ryan's dog) was the official babysitter!
Reba did a great job. She didn't fall off!
We played volleyball...loose rules.
I'm on the far left in blue.
It didn't matter the score...
We all won.
Round two.
After her nap and another layer of sunscreen,
Sophia played in the sand some more.
She even took a bite...or two...or maybe even three of sand.
(She is clashing outfits because I wanted to cover up
her legs to avoid the sun!)
Sophia and I went for a swim in the ocean.
She was clinging onto me for dear life,
but I think she liked it once she got use to it.
Logan found some hermit crabs
in the surf.
As we left the beach, I stripped her naked.
Showered off the sand and slapped on a new diaper.
I had a feeling that she was about to crash again!
Here she is on the dash of the bus...did not move after
I started the Jeep to leave the beach!

The Sunset Spot

It was way too easy as always to take a beautiful sunset shot from
this one spot. Perfect line-up, set quality token palm, & dune fence.
Why are sunsets that much more over the ocean?

One More Day

Ok...so we stayed one more day at the beach. Here is Sophia watching
the waves roll in. I can't wait to share the rest of the photos...and
yes video!

The Ride Down

Here is the ride to Florida!
In our bus, we passed Travis and the boys in their car...
I hung out the bus window as we drove by & waved.
Naturally, they wanted to ride on the fun bus!
We took on two more passengers at Eufaula.
Our in flight movies were "Bolt" and "Cars".
We also played spot the first palm tree,
and did a dance across the state line.
Steve at the wheel, Soso still having to face backwards
was antsy, but hanging in there.
It was raining on and off for most of the drive,
but that made for some spectacular rainbows!
Logan got shotgun
Ryan sat behind the Captains' chair on the couch
where the seat belts are located.
He kept saying, "This bus is awesome!"
He's got a little bit of a Gatorade mustache.
We discovered what was REALLY at the end of the rainbow.
(For those of you who can't see it...Truck says,
"Akes Septic Service" on the side of it)

WiFi Spot!

I have internet for five seconds before dinner...
here are some favorites.
I will post more when I get home.
We are leaving tomorrow.

First Day Ever...

Of playing in the sand & surf! She LOVED it...after a few minutes of
confusion, jumped right in. I didn't have a camera at the time. She's
a beach bum though...whew.
Sad news blog fans, no Internet connection this week. I will be
sending up pics one at a time by phone...maybe.
Sketchy signal around here, but that's how we like it!
Here is Sophia napping in her swimsuit with matching hat & little
mermaid beach towel(thank you Catherine & Aunt Amy).
And yes... That is a redneck Arkansas cooler. You can't choose the
relatives people! (thank you to Ryan & Betsy for the Arkansas tent on
the beach too...although ugly, a life saver!)
