Snuggle Bug

This is why I have a slow start in the mornings! Louie snuggles in
tight to my legs and snores! There's the saying about

letting sleeping dogs lay...
Steve made it. Only lost a boat trailer wheel fender(aluminum Triton) on trip up. Which is a good trip believe it or not...

Set up. Not wanting to fish today because "cold & windy"!

He's just gone soft... :)

Left behind

Louie & I are not going to last FLW Series event at Clarks Hill in
Georgia. Sophia's arrival is a week away, the last day of the
tournament!
Louie is upset...he's sitting looking out the window. Last time he sat
by the front door!

Lizard in house

Steve helped free this lizard that was hanging out or trapped in our
den. The lizard jumped out of Steve's hands just as he reached
outside...crawled on his back! Steve called to me to get the thing off
him! I showed the lizard to the rail. He now roams the jungle of our
backyard!

When You Carve Too Early...

We carved these suckers on Saturday, October 11.
They didn't make it a week.
I didn't light them every night, so maybe that led to the downfall.
The top fell in...and there is a funky slime on the inside.
Bugs...lots of bugs...gross.
The cat on the backside looks like Mark's, complete cave in.

Mine looks pretty good still...cave in a little on the teeth.

Not as much slime. Not that I touched it!

Mark's...well...nasty black mold every place that is cut

with complete deflation.

Mark used an LED flashing/color changing

disk inside battery powered.

I think the candle burning ones held up better

because it burned off the funk a little.

This is by far the worst...YUCK!

Diaper Cake

Matt came to our house on way to tournament. He brought a fab gift
from his wife Micha! Very girly diaper cake!

Love it!!

It has little gifts tied to tiers! "guess how much I love you book", tiara on top
with pink feather boa! (I might have to wear those.) You can't really
see them because of bad photo, but there are hair bows on the ribbon
going around cake.

Very creative...crafty! Thank you Family Scheipeter!

Round up the usual suspects!

Crime scene last night. I didn't put out the sunflower seeds on the
deck railing like every other day...is this a message from the
squirrel tough guys?

Ok, so I give up. Squirrels win. I have moved the candles from the
ledge to the ground...the few that remain!

Getting Halloweenish

Here is Louie next to my pumpkin. He's a big fan of the roasted seeds
I made! Finally feels like fall...
Sophia update...she's in no hurry! Still in a holding pattern. Due
date...October 25th. Any pools going?

Snake!!

Grey rat snake dead five feet from our side door. Sad because he's a
good snake. Not sure cause of death yet. Steve thinks he hit him
backing the boat in last night. Hmmmm....
Have to remember to dispose of him soon. I scare the ever living life
out of myself EVERY time I walk by...& I KNOW he's there!

PAA Corp Cup, Final Day

Steve and his team came in second!!
Photo and clip from Basszone.com:
Steve Kennedy:
“Today started out tough. There was one stretch where we caught most of our fish off of this week and we started on it this morning and never got a bite. It was almost two hours in and we hadn’t had a bite so I started going down the right side of the bank starting at the dam and we had five good ones going down that bank. After that, it was around12:30 and we didn’t cull another fish.
“Basically what we needed was the five pound bite and we never got a big bite the rest of the day. One big bite would have made it close. The other team caught them well and we just got beat.
“My previous history here helped me tremendously. I fished a pattern that I figured out practicing for a Red Man Regional tournament way, way, way back and it has just taken me this long to figure out how to come back and catch some more out of those areas."

I'm grounded at home...He's off fishing Pickwick.
Doing well! His team is in third place.
They cut to the top 12 after Day 2 weigh-in.
Nice bass...

Visitors for the Week

My beautiful sister and niece!
Amy and Catherine are in town to visit with all of us this week.
Catherine is on her fall break from school. We've been having fun.
Chalk drawing on the driveway, playing basketball, game nights(scrabble, Yahtzee).
Yesterday, we went and saw "Beverly Hills Chihuahua".
Today, they drove over to Columbus to lunch with a friend.
Louie is watching for them to return!
(Yes, that is my baby doll T from the Sting concert...
Yes, I use to wear it...
and maybe someone should have stopped me!
I swear it SHRANK in the dryer. Glad it has a new good home.
I don't think Catherine even knows who Sting is!
Tonight, we bust out the CD collection. Music appreciation night!)

Louie vs. Shrek

My sister bought us a new vacuum for a house warming gift. (Ours, may
it rest in peace, had a little accident. The cord got sucked up into
it...well, by the time I noticed the strong burning smell...the cord
was stripped down to copper!)
Enter new eureka boss. It's a lime green sucking machine & I love it!
Being me, I named it Shrek.
Here's a photo of Lou introducing his teeth to Shrek! Louis does not
like vacuums...any shape, any size.

Beach trip

This is a photo my sister sent to me of my niece in her new snorkle &
mask! Thought too cute & funny...had to share!

Another one bites the deck...

I love my squirrels.

Feed them every morning.

Put up with the gnawing on the gutters

even though it sounds like rats in the roof.
But I'm getting a little thin when it comes to rodent vandalism!
Here is yet another candle to bite the dust.

Exhibit A.

They jump along the window sil to get to the rail...

knocking off candles.

Bored with taxes...

Louie can't handle the pressure. Here he is passed out while I finish
taxes.
Thought too cute!

Possible Halloween outfit?

Aunt Amy & cousin Catherine purchased this tiger outfit for Sophia
this week!
Definite tailgate...could also be her first Halloween costume.
Depending on her arrival! Very cute!!

Flashback Photo

Ok, so things are crazy busy and slow for photos.

I mean really, who wants to see us going to the post office or bank...

cleaning house...unpacking boxes.

Here is a photo, one of few of our first camp

site for our first "professional" tournament.
That tent died a slow wind death after holding on for a year.

OkeeTantie campground, Okeechobee City, Florida

January 2002

Huge fire ants and sand spurs that were killer!

Also, little tip...shade is nice, but when it's the only tree...

birds tend to hang out in it. They leave calling cards all over the tent roof!
