First Day Flowers!

Grandpa and Grandma Hosemann surprised Sophia today with flowers that matched her shoes! She loves them, thank you!

First Day Pre-K!

Sophia has begun her structured academic journey in life today. I hope, it's a never ending open-minded fun adventure for her!
At 6:12AM before the first alarm was to awaken me...Sophia jumped on the bed, "Is it time to go to school yet!?".
She dressed herself (with a little help from daddy on the tying the shoes). Ready to hit the ground running!
We survived our first AM car rider line experience. I parked, walked her in the door. Letting her lead me to make sure he knew where to go, we walked down the hallway...into her classroom door.
She looked a little nervous. All the kids heads immediately turned to see who she was. I hovered at the door, not wanting to cross the threshold into the room, but needing to know if she'd be ok.
Cool and calm she got out her green folder put it where her teacher had shown her yesterday. Went to the peg wall and hung up her bag. Sophia then walked over to me gave my legs a hug, as if to say without words, "its ok momma, I got this. You can go now.". Looked up at me flashed a huge smile, then she quickly turned to join her class. :)
Here's to hoping she still likes it when I pick her up later!

Fast Shoes!

While I was shoe shopping at Dicks Sporting Goods in Michigan, Sophia found and fell in love with these shoes. These bright colorful shoes. She beat Daddy racing through the Port Huron KOA. I'm a sucker...but you would have been too! Happy racing Soso!

Five playgrounds-heaven!

This week at this KOA, we have five playgrounds. The kids are in heaven playing all morning! Makes for quiet lunchtime :)

Dr. Soso to the rescue!

Armed with hydrogen peroxide, neosporin, and 'despicable me' band-aids-Sophia was cleaning and covering all wounds! (Some were already healed but it didn't matter.)
Thank you Kevin and daddy for being victims...I mean patients! Thank you also doctor assistant Kerry for the stuff she needed to operate.

Avast me mattes!

Alexander Bay, NY, hosts a pirate festival this week! While eating pizza and pirate people watching, Sophia says "We need pirate accessories!". $2.99 bandana, $0.65 eyepatch. Best investment EVER! They said "ARG!" to every passerby!! Hysterical!! Then back in the boat, to every passing boat...even the container ships!!

Sophia-saurous Rex

SJ was a little shy to say the least!! Sophia was doing her best impression. :) smithsonian museum of natural history

DINOSAURS!!!

SJ was beside himself excited to see all the dinosaurs! They were everywhere!! Sophia was equally impressed. :) Cool points!

First DC stop-Natural History Museum

We parked in the usual deck under Ronald Reagan Building and walked block over to museums. It was a bear fighting traffic in, but always worth it!
