Today's Photoshoot with SJ

The sunlight from our window was perfect today...
so I grabbed Steve and the baby, took a few photos.
We waited a little longer than Sophia
for the baby shots...
Steve struggled! He had to lean over
and hold his 13 pound son.
I promise you not easy!
Enjoy.

Silent Ride

We timed the departure to coordinate with nap time. I wasn't expecting the holding hands! I took a picture to remind them that they did start out liking each other!!

Big Deal

Sophia has watched me paint my nails a couple of times, never showing interest. Today, mark it on the calendar, her first manicure! (Steve is wincing. Hate to tell him grease can get under pink nails just as easily as unpainted. She will so be in the garage still...just pink fabulous!)
I placed all of my crazy selection of colors in front of her that cover the psychedelic rainbow. Orange, red, black, teal. Wondering why did I buy this or that color? Soso picked K-pink hot pink for her nails. I want to say I'm shocked, but I'd be lying. She was so excited! I was too...now we can have Soso & Momma mani/pedi days!!
I asked her to hold her nails up by her face to take a picture...she's got a little flair for the dramatic...just a little.

Chalk!

Otherwise known as "caulk, caulk"...we decided to decorate the sidewalk this morning. I draw the outlines, Sophia colors it in!
Beautiful weather today...might have to picnic in the backyard for lunch!

Breakfast

Gotta love photo menus! Sophia picks out what she wants to eat...waffles, eggs, sausage, grits, and juice!
Test driving the new waffle house in town!

Busy

Very seriously Sophia studies the Target toy catalog...making her Christmas list?

Laughing Morning

SJ, decked out in his Grandpa H pajamas(helicopters that make up camo), was all smiles and coos this morning. Love it!

Homestead Hallow

We were in the Birmingham area last week hanging out with Shelby. On Friday, we went to a fall arts and crafts show.
Here Sophia, with my help, makes a candle! She was wanting to dip it really fast...faster than the wax could set! I put the brakes on her dipping.
It was fun while it lasted! A huge storm blew in and forced us to run...not kidding...run to our truck! It even started to sleet. Shelby got her kettle corn. We were able to look around for a minute. Enjoyed it even if only briefly!
