We have a very cold rainy day...so we did festive nail polish to brighten the day! Laissez les bons temps rouler!! Hoping the rain subsides for the 4:30 parade start. :)

Stopping for the night

After a few hours, we've stopped for the night. Run around, blow some bubbles...burn some energy! Dinner. Bed. Off again towards home!

Alligator Hunt!

Last day of practice, we met Steve at the boat ramp to go on an alligator hunt adventure! We saw osprey, anhingas, and other birds. "SPANISH MOSS!!!" as Sophia pointed out. No alligators. Oh darn. :) we will have to go out in March to find one!

Good Helper

SJ and I are doing laundry today. He likes to put the quarters in the slots to start the machines...
Sophia is hanging out with Daddy doing routine boat repairs & tackle prep for the tournament starting tomorrow!

Chasing Whooping Cranes

No fences here in the real Florida. Sophia holds SJ back from chasing the Sandhill Cranes!! It's so amazing to be up close and personal with these birds. (Whooping Cranes are one of the animals featured in their favorite book: "Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See?" Suppose to live yearround here.) The kids are so excited! Sophia has her camera handy! These are just Sandhill Cranes. Close, but hunt is still on for the Whooping!

POOL DAY part II

We have seen all the parks...So POOLING IT! They have a fabulous huge baby pool, and a gated little guy play area. SJ, of course, went down the big people slide(with lifejacket) twice! Sophia once was enough.

After dropping off Sophia's postcards, we paused to play a game of checkers...sort of...

Bonus! Saw gecko jump...but frog too!

On our walk from watching fireworks on beach, we walked by a 'comfort statuin'. A lizard jumped off the building. We were on it with a flashlight! Adventure!

Serious digging...

In the Dino Dig part. SJ takes filling the bucket seriously. Really serious. Steve and Sophia are on the other side trying to hit as many slides as they can before the park closes. SJ and I did a few...but he's digging the sand pit! (ha ha ha)

Right after I took this photo...I almost stood up into a duck in flight. The second duck wing slapped SJ on top of his head! He laughed and smiled looked as if to say, "you see that?". Sophia and I LAUGHED!
