Paying the Bill

Sophia likes to sign the bill for dinner just like Mommy and Daddy!
Here she pays at Fish Tales Lakeside Grill on Lake Lanier. Yummy.

Flower Girl

Sophia loves to help water the flowers! Here she is at work. Best
thing about the whole deal, she works for cookies!

Hot Outside

When it's too hot, and the mosquitos too many...bring the sidewalk
chalk indoors!
I had a stack of black construction paper in our art supplies. Sophia
thought too cool. Yet another piece of art for her gallery!

Sprinkler Sunday

Sophia joined me in the yard to water our
newly planted flowers that have been struggling
in the heat these past few days.
She was doing such a good job with the hose...
until she decided to look into the sprayer!
Not only once...twice.
Soaked.
So, what do you do?
Grab the sprinkler and play!
This is her first sprinkler in the yard experience!
She loved the feel of the water in her hands!
So cool!
Literally.
She tried to grab each stream of water,
or push it back down into the sprinkler.
Having fun.
Woohoo!
Those are her PJs by the way...
Daddy was way too safe and dry up hill,
removed from the splash zone.
I sicked Sophia on him!
"Daddy NEEDS a hug!"
He took it with a smile!
Water soaked diaper.
Back to the water fun.
Steve's favorite photo.
Hee hee!
We tried to tell her to run through the sprinkler...
she just wasn't getting what we meant.
I stepped into show her!
(I'm wearing mud boots because they
were by the door...flipflops were upstairs.
I was just going out to splash a few plants...)
She got the hang of it finally!
Was laughing and having a good time.
For the last few minutes,
we turned the water really low...
I think she liked the less pressure better.
Also, the sprinkler didn't move.
After a long enough time,
fingers pruned, we cut it off.
Sophia picked up the sprinkler trying to
figure how to turn it back on!
Later, with her crazy hair,
Sophia hanging out with Daddy
on the couch watching a movie!

Package!

Sophia got a cool package from Aunt Amy and Catherine. I could hardly
snap a picture she was so excited jumping around! They sent a killer
Buzz Lightyear dress, a Mickey dress, & a Mickey book!
Have a feeling Soso is going to wear these non-stop! Now, I'll be able
to wash Tiana...
Thank you!! Love!

Art This Week

If you were to stop in at the Sophia gallery of art this week, glitter
glue is the new craze! Shocker that my daughter likes to bling out her
coloring. Here she is coloring and glittering Jesse from Toy Story.
Pretty cool. I ask her what she wants to color. Go on-line, type in
whatever+coloring pages...we are in business. Soso thinks I'm the best
magician ever. I make the object on screen appear out of the box
(printer). She claps and cheers...ah, if it could only stay this easy.

Mommy's Shoes!

Yesterday, before the baby shower,
I was digging through my closet for shoes
that fit my pregnant foot.
I walked out of the bedroom a few
potentials scattered about.
Steve and I were in the kitchen...
when we heard the clump, clump, clump!
Sophia decided to wear a pair of my shoes.
She was so proud walking through
the kitchen with them on.
She actually did very well!
Could even turn around.
We were dying laughing...
Soso didn't care...
she owned the runway.

Fourth Girls Daytrip

After a few morning storms on July 4th...
Sophia, Mesha, and I decided
to let the men fish...we'd go shopping
and exploring!
First stop, Cape San Blas Lighthouse
A must see.
We headed next to Apalachicola, FL
not too bad of a drive from Port St. Joe.
We walked around and shopped.
I scored a new pair of flip flops in a bigger size,
little bit of feet swelling action starting.
We got a snack at a chocolate sweets store.
Took it down to the waterfront to eat.
We were dodging rain under the canopies of the shops!
Sophia dancing in front of shrimp boats.
Not sure if it was the weather, holiday, or oil
that had so many docked for the day.
Our next cool find was an antique/nautical
collection of stuff store called the "Tin Shed"
I scored some decorations for SJ's room...
Sophia made a fast friend for life-Bailey the guard dog.
They shared her goldfish crackers...
one for me, one for you!
A few seconds before the foil crinkled, Bailey
was passed out on the floor behind the counter!
St. George Lighthouse in its
new location.
This photo seemed bland...
so I sent in my assistant to add spice.
Sophia helped generate some
life...made the birds take to the sky.
Pleased with her efforts...
she returned.
Ahh..much better photo!
Thank you Soso for a job well done.
She loves to chase the birds,
always has...even when all she could
do was crawl!
We went out onto the beach behind the lighthouse
for a little bit. Sophia dug in the sand
with her Gelato spoon from earlier.
Chased a few more birds.
Then, it was back to the camp to meet
for fireworks over the water
viewed from the boat!

Sunset

While waiting for boat to take us to the fireworks, we took a walk at
sunset on the beach. Soso was torn between toes in the waves and shell
collecting!

Sand dollar

Steve found a sand dollar while snorkling and shared with Sophia. She
was fascinated by it.

Dinner Break

We pulled in early from the fishing to eat. Last night was McDonalds
because everything else was CLOSED!! Dockside Cafe is right on the
water. We just pulled up, tied off, & eat!

Singing?

When we run Sophia "sings" at the top of her lungs. She is loving the
bay boat ride!! Nose stuck into the wind, here we go!

Tarpon!

Steve finally caught his tarpon! About time...surprisingly on a
swimbait. Power mullet!

Crab!!!

Matt caught a tiny swimming crab while we were out fishing. Steve
showed it to Sophia...she was not impressed so much!
Saint Joseph Bay, Florida

Playtime

Sophia found the way too cool Disney castle in the closet this
morning. Uncle Mark bought it for Catherine, who passed it down to
Soso. We are just now getting into princesses!
I think it's funny watching her. I can't help but wonder what would
happen if Buzz Lightyear really did crash the ball! Currently, all the
princesses are swooning. The only one with a chance...the Beast!
