Another Lesson

On the ride to drop the boat off, Catherine taught Soso this...
Too cute!

Karaoke

Sophia loves to sing...we may be buying a machine. Cousin Catherine
and Sophia do a wonderfilled rendition of 'Stand By Me'...no really, I
promise. Listen carefully.

Daddy Day

Sophia and Steve at the World of Coca-cola Museum in Atlanta. (Thank
you Todd for the photo!) Soso sampled drinks from around the world
with Van, Todd, and Steve!
Soso was a little leery at first of the big polar bear...then wanted
Steve to buy the biggest one in the gift shop on the way out!

The Big Day

Emily and Hal were married
Saturday, January 16 in Atlanta.
Beautiful.
Elegant.
Perfect.
Hal waiting for his bride...
(so not my photo, got from a friend of theirs)
Exchanging vows.
Kissing the bride!
Woohoo!
Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy
Showing off the ring?
Or "Yes!" fist pump?
(Again these are not my photos)

Sophia took a power nap mid-reception.
She did get out and dance with me.
(Not as much as she did at Al & Carolyn's wedding)
I think she was too busy taking it all in!
Cool borrowed shot of the cake
Leaving the reception to ringing bells and rose pedals!
Next stop Hawaii...and the rest of their lives!
Congratulations to the happy couple.
Glad to be a part of your day.
We love you both!

Rehearsal Friday Night

Steve was one of the groomsmen
in Emily & Hal's wedding.
We all went to the rehearsal.
Sophia hangs out with her Daddy before kick off.
Practice...
Sophia hung out with her cousins while I took
photos. She was very happy to do so...until
I went and ruined it ALL with the camera!
Soso
I didn't take this photo...
my little social butterfly left our table
at the rehearsal dinner and went visiting!
Hanging out with HER cousins.
Kate, Katherine, Kennedy, Kelli, and Betsy
I didn't take many photos at the dinner...I was too busy eating!
It was at Maggiano's in Buckhead, family style Italian.
Mark made a video from photos that Karen, Joann, and I
supplied...which was fun to watch and a hit!
Moving toasts.
Great evening!

Bridesmaid Luncheon

Emily's bridesmaid luncheon was hosted by Aunt Marilyn and Aunt Jamie
at Relish in historic Roswell.
Very cute all stone building
Jamie, me, Marilyn, Kate, Natalie
Natalie, Marilyn, Karen, and Kate
hamming it up in the wonderful window seat.
Pretty table decorations
The food!

hostess gifts.

Kate and I

The food was wonderful, but the company was better!
Good to sit down and catch up with folks.
(Sophia went to the Coca-cola Museum with her daddy,
Poppy(Van), and cousin Todd)

I Rest My Case

Sophia now, if she catches you taking a photo
of her, does this mean face look.
(She apparently was sporting it for the wedding
formal photos from this weekend.
So, I'm not taking it personally.
She hates all cameras.)
I was wondering where I had seen "the look"...it was so familiar.
Until I was flipping through some old photos!
Busted.
Here SVK and SMK show their stuff.
I'll let you decide for yourself.
(She so learned it from him!)

Pushing Buttons

We spent the weekend in downtown Atlanta for Emily and Hal's wedding.
Sophia loved pushing the buttons for the elevator, to call one and
choose
the floor!
Here she's holding her purse about to head down for breakfast. Little
help from Daddy to reach the button.
More wedding weekend photos to follow.

Clearly

Sophia thinks I can't see her through the CLEAR shower curtain! Every
night as I fill her bath, she plays peek-a-boo with me. Thought I
would share.

Yum

Sophia's first rice crispy treat. She hasn't put it down or breathed
yet!

Sounds of Silence

Sophia loves her loaner pull toy from Helen and Manny...it's the only
reason I have not flung the sucker as far as I can off the back deck.
She was also cracking herself up laughing about it.

This clip is actually tame due to her seeing the camera. She tends to
get shy when it's around. Before I started filming, Soso was running
the length of the house yelling at the top of her lungs dragging this
toy.

I say loaner because any day now Helen is having a baby...and I think
the new baby wants to play with this!

Morning Recital

Like any mother, I believe Soso's playing on the piano is the most
beautiful music. The neighbors' cat outside running for his life would
disagree...music critics!

Santa Gift

Santa brought Sophia a little pink laptop to save Steve. (She likes to
type on our laptop while we are on it) Here they sit holding down the
couch computing.

Flashlights

While Steve was installing a light fixture, Sophia held the
flashlights. It was kinda like watching repair in a disco...she like
twirling them.

Auburn Christmas Parade

The City of Auburn parade was on December 3, 2009...
but I finally got around to taking photos off my camera!
Sophia's first Christmas Parade!
In the backpack with Daddy for the walk into downtown
She couldn't see very well on his back,
Steve went with on the shoulders viewpoint.
Not the biggest parade around,
but it has character and heart.
Rudolph was on a sprayer...
Fun float had a snow machine
Hanging out with Mommy
Santa comes in on a firetruck...
Sophia was startled by the sirens!
We weren't sure if she was going to cry!
Checking out Santa!
Fat man with a loud truck...
I think she enjoyed watching her first Christmas parade.
Steve caught a candy cane from Santa for her,
so the fat man was cool.
After it was over, we ate at a pizza place
in downtown to warm up, & wait out traffic.
Sophia was wearing her festive outfit
courtesy of Grandma Kennedy.
She was looking too cute!
Merry Christmas...parade!
