The weekend Biscuits games are followed by some awesome fireworks! We had the perfect view for the shows...bonus!

St. Peter's

Sophia and I braved the heat and hiked a few blocks to Mass. She loves the stained glass windows...my girl!

Why not...more baseball!

We went to dinner...and Sophia was still FULL of energy. Steve wanted to retire for the evening, so the kids and I went for a walk! Soso, SJ, & I walked down to Riverfront stadium to take in the last couple innings of the Biscuits vs. Smokies!
Sophia watched the game more intently tonight. Clapping when the songs were played, or the plays made. She stood up during the seventh inning stretch and swayed with me to the music! Nothing beats baseball on a summer night.
SJ clapped too...following big sis' lead. We left the game fully exhausted...with a Big Mo doll and the token foam finger. Soso thought the foam finger was the best thing EVER!
The mighty Biscuits won...and so did I!

First Baseball Game

This was both SJ and Sophia's first baseball game! We walked from our hotel to watch the Montgomery Biscuits take on the Tennessee Smokies. It was unique experience because we were suite level.
Soso immediately attacked the basket of popcorn. She had her pink and purple ball glove in hand. While waiting to go in the lobby, Sophia told anyone that passed: "WE'RE GOING TO BASKETBALL GAME!"...
SJ was clapping spontaneously at plays, knowing no loyalty! Flirting with anyone that made eye contact. Very cute.

Game Tonight

As a part of Bass All star week, we went to the Montgomery Biscuits game at Riverfront Stadium. We had a good time in one of the suites. May have to come back for a game soon!
Sophia chased down the mascot "Big Mo", a "biscuit eater"! She thought it was an elephant...oh well!

Day Two All-Star

Steve finished 11th out of 12 anglers here this week. Now, we hang out and enjoy the show!

Weigh-in At Civic Center

It was outside...I didn't get the memo. But it's ok. It only rained a little!
Steve came in with only three fish that weighed 6-3. He's in 11th out of 12, but gets to go at the bass again tomorrow! Only 8 of 12 advance to the next weekend.

Great Debate

Sophia pointed out the roof tops across from our hotel, saying, "momma, step in time!" (a reference to Mary Poppins movie scene where the chimney sweeps dance on the roof tops of London). She watched forever to see if she saw any chimney sweeps! SJ, being a supportive little brother, had no clue what she was looking for...but he was looking with her!
I think we saw a bird or two...

Take-off

It's ten minutes to take off, and let me tell you, the kids are so excited to be here!

Day One All Stars

Nice crowd for take off at the all star week event in Wetumpka, AL. Only 12 boats are actually in the thing fishing, the rest are fans!

"Cowboy Soso"

And yes...through out Winn Dixie was heard a cry, "COWBOY SOSO, WOOHOO!"...as she waved her hat above her head in a circular motion. Hat might stay in the jeep next trip. :) or not, made for amusing shopping on a rainy day!

Cowmooflauge Car seat!

SJ is sporting his new seat today for the first time! So far he likes it...well for being strapped in the car. :) it's a happy cow print!
