Cute little amusement park near the boat ramp. A good way to burn some energy! This was SJ's favorite ride...of course, the cars!

Sunset on Lake Michigan

At the ramp here at our campground, we watched the sunset from the rock jetty tonight...beautiful. SJ waved bye to the sun. I think he likes watching sunsets...I know Sophia does!

We found a cute toy store "Dancing Bears" in downtown, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Sturgeon Bay today

We did laundry first. Afterwards, we met Amy, TJ, and Kerry downtown Sturgeon Bay. The kids enjoyed checking out all the differently painted sturgeons that decorate the downtown area. This one was an elementary school...

Day One Fish

Not bad smallmouth for SK today...

Fun in Walmart

We had to try on the cheesehead...but we didn't buy it!

Bugs...

SJ Observation

Soso saw angels...SJ saw dead bugs. Such a boy. He was amazed by the numbers stuck and partially cooked to the exterior lighting! I was too...but mostly thought it was nasty.

St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral

Mass this morning in La Crosse.
Pipe organ was powerful.
Beautiful stained glass windows...with "FFFish"!
The main lighting had copper angels around it. I whispered to Sophia, "do you see the angels?"
She replied, "Yes and they are wearing black!"
Puzzled. I looked around. What is she talking about? The angels clearly are copper colored.
Then, I got it. The first two rows had about seven nuns seated in them...in awe.

Top 12 Smile

And He's Off to the Office!

Equipment Check

Soso knows how to run the trolling motor...SJ just figured it out!

King of Beers!

Early morning quick tour!

Going to Brave!

This is a photo of Kerry, SJ, and Abby walking up to the theater here in, La Crosse, WI, on Friday. We met up with seriously just about every wife and child of the fishing family! I want to say I heard the head count was 47!
Soso loved it and can't wait to "go to Auburn to take Gma H to see it!"...I question her motive. She selling it like she's doing Gma a favor so we will stick with that.
I didn't do a good job of photos...Sophia is wearing her Merida dress she found this week and bought with her own money. No fear, she's announced it's her Halloween costume too. It's very sparkling fabulous. I'm almost certain a person could tell her seat from yesterday by the glitter left behind!

Shadow Dancing

On our walks to the playground in the morning, we have great shadows. This photo was snapped in the afternoon. :) little things in life.

Last Night's Storms

We watched them roll in across the river. Huge winds. Distant rolling thunder. Sky darkening clouds...nature's show at its best.

Play!

We have two playgrounds at our campground this week. Kids are loving it! SJ likes this digger...he's been moving sand like a pro!

Soso too!

Custard

Too busy for photo...at Culver's eating custard with M&M topping!

Lunch at Culver's

We stopped for lunch at Culver's today, "Home of the butter burger and frozen custard"! It was a risky move at naptime after a long walk around the campground. The kids meal came with a free custard coupon.
Sophia ate her chicken as part of the deal. Then, I let her redeem the coupon by herself...(while standing hiding beside the drink machine like a good stalker momma should.)
She walked up there. Put her coupon on the counter. Asked please for her chocolate ice cream. "Custard" did not compute. Sophia was thrilled when the guy asked if she wanted M&M topping!
SJ came running up with his!! He got vanilla...with M&M's "PEAS"! And then said "tanks" when the lady handed him his "ice cream".
Later when we walked out, SJ said "B-EYE" as he waved to everyone, as did Sophia. Followed by "Tanks". I could hear the snickers and giggles behind us as the door was closing.
We were almost to the car, when an employee chase us down, "Ma'am!" I thought oh no...what did he break...
She said they took a vote. They were the politest kids they had met today...and here's a free Culver volley/soccer ball for them.
WHAT? These two? :)
Very proud. See good manners always pay off!

BIG wishes!

Kerry picked Soso a "wish" from the side of the road...only HUGE! Sophia was amazed!

First On Road Alphabet Game

Sophia found the entire alphabet on road signs!! It's one of my favorite road trip games to play. I was worried when she said there were no "g"s on the "MERGE RIGHT" sign... But she caught on! A to Z!

Trip to Toomer's for lemonade!

Went shopping downtown with my Soso. We stopped into Toomer's Drugs for a drink. I put Sophia up on the stool.
The young lady behind the counter asked Sophia, "What can I get for you?"
Soso quickly responded, "Two lemonades, peas!"
