Sophia's class had a slithery visitor yesterday. The letter this week was "S" so of course SNAKE. Shiver...She held the snake! Looks like she was having fun, mostly.

Movie Tuesday!

After picking up Sophia from school, we hit the movies! Our road is being repaved today and it wasn't finished yet. Three thumbs up! I enjoyed the historical puns and references.

Saint Augustine, FL

Day two of the Bassmaster Elite on the St. John's River, Palatka, FL. We did a day excursion to St. Augustine! Saw the city. Visited the fort, or "castle" where Sophia saw "the lady with the Rapunzel hair" on the wall. Had lunch. Shopped. Fun quick trip!

Spring Tour

SK did not make day three, so we rode on the boat to see the springs! Surprisingly, they are located up Spring creek. We saw gizzard shad, chain pickerel, largemouth bass, and blue gills. Looking over the side of the boat is like peering into an aquarium!

Paddle Around Cove

Our site is on the waters edge. We can push off into the lake to paddle around. Soft sandy bottom almost ramp like put in...perfect!

Sunset View

Our bus is pointed in just the right direction for the sunset. If it hadn't been overcast rain when I parked...I would have planned it this way!

FOX SQUIRREL!

This place is crawling with them, freakishly large squirrels-fox squirrels! The kids love to watch them.

Lake Seninole

After a very cold and rainy start, today was a beautiful day. Seminole State Park is out kind of place. Went canoeing, bike ride, played on playground, & had candy from store!
