Poppy's Tournament

We rode over to West Point Lake in Georgia today for the final weigh-in of the Top 6 TBF tournament.
The kids and I walked the beach to look for lost things. Sophia saw a kite! It was intact and ELSA & ANA from frozen!! We carefully got the string out of the tree...and took it for a flight!
Storms rolled in. Hail. Lightning. We hid in the jeep for awhile, then watched Van's team take third place.

Palm Sunday

The Gospel, little longer than usual, gave SJ time to shred his palm...
Baby Jesus's manger will have some awesome straw this Christmas!

Dry Creek fishing

We had a good time fishing. SJ and Soso practiced their casting. Sophia cast, fought and landed two rainbows all by herself! Girls rule.
SJ gets points for effort. :)

Fish Hatchery

We drove over to the fish hatchery at Norfork Dam. The kids loved seeing all the trout...then walking down to the Dry Creek Rec Area to catch some! It's open to kids 15 and under to fish.

Having Fun

It wasn't what I expected. Very casual production, but she looked like she was enjoying it! Big smiles.
At the end, the teacher, Ms. Brown, told them to get into a group shot pose. Then announced, "thank you Zombie family for coming." On cue, the kids made zombie faces and actions. "The angry family", "the sleepy family", "the goofy family".
In between each, Sophia would break into the biggest smile.

She had very animated facial expressions! Was the first to act following the narration.

Act I!

Sophia took drama this year and was in a performance of the children's book, Where the Wild Things Are, last night. She was a WILDthing, and did very well!
