Sunset and Sharks

We took showers early. I figured once they ate dinner...they would crash!
We walked back to the campsite, borrowed a sunset view for a minute...sigh.
SK had found some sharks...so of course, he and SJ had to catch one! SJ set the hook and pretty much landed it by himself. I was pretty much backing up freaked out and forgot to take a photo when it was lifted out of the water...
(SJ's tail is the handle of the rod. 😂he was holding it between his legs while he reeled.)

Sunset Silhouette

The amazing sunsets here just lend themselves to silhouette shots. The lighting on objects is magical this time of day...

Hit The Beach

After moving and quick set up, we went to the beach! The water was chilly, but we still got in. Built a sandcastle. We crossed over to the open ocean side to see what was hanging out in the pools.
Sea-slugs, hermit crabs, stone crab, little fish, and other unidentifiable critters.

Moving on Up!

We left the Southernmost KOA after winning the Bahia Honda "lottery". You go put your name on a list at 8am. Return at 1pm to see if there are any cancellations or openings...we didn't win Monday. Scored Today!
We have moved a little north, but sigh...it's out happy place.

Morning Fishing from Bridge

The original Keys bridge is now used for fishing! It's hard to imagine driving on that narrow road. 😳 SK caught some grunts. SJ landed a fish too. Soso, Coco, and I were moral support.

Night Hunt

2/27/17
After bingo we went on a night spot and see! We caught little crabs that SK later used as bait. 😳 we saw a lobster. Geckos! Soso caught minnows in her net. Good night! One crab had a fish in its claws! He was easy to catch!

B I N G O

Every Monday night, they have bingo here at the KOA. Sophia read the flyer with all the info and wanted to play! SJ quickly jumped on board.
Bingo is held in the bar 😳. Buy in was $11. Soso and SJ were the players. They loaned them dobbers like professional bingo players. It was so much fun.
SJ, named "Moneymaker" by Soso, won twice. We won the pay in back and then some...$70!
KOA bingo rules, win three games and get thrown in the pool...SJ was one square away! He played big eyed for the rest of the night.
Sophia was better than I expected with his winning streak. She said she gets had because playing bingo was her idea! Lol

Sunset Stroll

After the beach, we went for a sunset stroll. Back up on the pedestrian bridge which was the original road. No fish spotted.
There were so many smaller fish, crabs, and ray in the marina.

At the Beach

The KOA always has something extra fun. Here they have a trampoline and climb tower inflatable! It's 4:30 in the afternoon...the water is quite chilly!
