Last Prepractice Day!

Launching Steve at Venice ramp before 9AM! When he said he was taking me to Venice...I should have ask for more specific details. This isn't Italy! But beautiful people, beautiful bayou delta area, tons of birds so I'll be ok!

Daytona Beach

(You'll have to scroll down to see the other post I just put up.
"Ponce Inlet Lighthouse" was originally started Jan 30,
so it went up further down the page.
BUT it's new with lots of photos)
Right after leaving the lighthouse,
we hit the beach...boat and all!
It was weird driving ON TO THE BEACH to park.
Big flock of birds dancing at the edge of the tide.
My little beach bum.
Sophia loves the sand!
She wanted to build a sandcastle.
SJ on the other hand was content to nap it out.
Walking out the fishing pier/jetty
to see if there was any action.
I love the various colors of blue in the ocean.
Really cool treat was seeing an osprey with its lunch...to go!

I think this looks like it's surfing
the airwaves on the back of the fish!
SJ...didn't see it so much.
He was busy drooling on his daddy.
There were feathered fishermen everywhere!
This one was looking for a handout.
Sophia paused to watch the ocean roll in and crash onto
the rocks. Then, the water would spray up into the air!
Laughing, squealing almost every time.
She would turn around and tell me about it.
AWAKE finally...on the way back to the truck!
The beggar bird finally gets some love.
SJ and I on the walk back to the beach parked rig.
SJ's first trip to the beach!
My babies playing in the sand...
the ski cap was for sun protection BTW.
Here we are in the parking area.
We had a few funny looks thrown our way
for dragging the boat out on the sand.
The bass-freshwater-boat.
Sophia and SJ were TIRED!
falling asleep before we even made it back to the bus.
The next stop was Salt Springs!

Mini-him

I love this photo I snapped of SJ and SK. Steve carried him around showing him off after he weighed in!

Final SK Day

Steve caught 19-1 today which landed him in 103rd place overall for our first event. Hope all the bugs are worked out so we can move onto Classic!
His big bass...there are a ton in Okeechobee!

Weather

It is as warm as this photo looks here. I've been taking the kids to the pool! Here's a little blue happy sky for all my friends that are freezing. Florida rocks!

Fog Delay

Had a 50 minute fog delay this morning. Steve is last flight so no big deal. Day one is under way!
Photo of Soso and her friend running over the rim canal road to watch take off. Sophia kept pointing out "the moon"!!...which was the sun.
