Day One...Okeechobee

I'm guessing a Red Shouldered Hawk.
There is such a variety of birds in this area.
Saw some Sandhill Cranes, Herons, & Ibis this morning.
Photo from Uncle Joe's Fish Camp...looks like a rim tournament!

Redwing Blackbird on a cane stalk

One of the many sugar cane fields around the area

Osprey on top of power lines

Royal Palm...favorite road in downtown Clewiston

This is the sugar cane factory here in Clewiston.

Makes a very distinct fragrance.

Smells like stewed tomatoes...sorta.

You definitely know when they are up and running.

Pelicans circled over the boats

Word this morning: Fog. Had a one hour delay, blast off 8 A.M.

Steve's co-angler Masa doesn't speak english...

it was funny watching him explain where they were

going to start fishing. I call this, "Thata way"

Never get tired of seeing the fish

on the light poles that line the road

near MaryAnn Martin's in AM

Oops.
This is what happens when an RV site water

gets run over in the early hours pulling out for blast off.

IT WASN'T US, but a neighbor nearby.
