Day 3 FLW Series

Steve weighed in 12-6 limit for three day total right at 41 pounds.
Finished 30th! Woohoo! Good money, we'll take it!

Blast off!

After the delay, we watched all 154 boats leave through the lock.
Sophia slept through all of it!
She is sporting bright fish pjs & great Gma Kennedy style
hat...looking fab in the AM!

Fog Delay Today

Waiting on the lock...fog. Oh boy!

Mexican Night

Al took us out to eat tonight at Sunrise Mexican. Good except for the
messed up order & a forgotten drink refill.
Sophia was listening carefully to every fish play by play story told
by Steve. She coos & talks to Al, I think she likes the beard. :)

Weigh-in Day 2

Steve came in with 14 even. He's in 30th place. Woohoo!

Rollin'...rollin'...rollin'

Sophia is officially rolling...
To prove to Steve that she can do it,
I took frame by frame shots
of her rolling over today.
She has yet to roll over when he is here.
Here is Sophia rolling over in
a safe environment...
the floor of the bus.
Semi kick to get party started
Kicking

Throwing arms over to get hip moving
Rocking with shoulder
Frustrating part
Finally getting the weight to work WITH her
The crazy ride part
What the...just happened?
She looks at me as if to say, "did you catch that?"
Big smiles & laugh!
(Probably because idiot mom
is clapping and cheering)
The only one to share the moment with...
Louie.
He found his sarcastic side.
Who has the look in his face,
"Big whoop te-do-da deal. Even I can do that."

Today's Photo Safari

Hope this is a good sign?
A limit of buzzards?

Fair and Balanced

Someone asked if Sophia is ever in a bad mood.
Well, for the most part no.
She does have her moments of unpleasantly mad.
The following is a photo shoot
that goes wrong...quickly.
She has a definite Sophicentric
(Sophia is the center of the universe)
view of the world.
If it isn't pleasing her, it isn't happening.
NOW!
At this point we are done.
Shows over, nothing to see!
Camera put away!

Fog

They blasted off at normal time this AM into a pretty heavy fog.
Should be another fun day. Sophia, Louie, & I watched from the lock
again this morning...almost missed Steve!

Steve's Standing Day 1

41st place for today!

Day 1 FLW Series

Kicker fish of his 14-9 limit today. Have to see where he lands. There
were a ton of big bags! And yep, that's Dave Lauer as his co today.

First FLW Series

Too much action...Sophia slept through her first FLW Series weigh-in!
Even when Louie barked! Cool shirt thanks to Great Aunt Katy. It was a
hit!

Meeting

Sophia sleeping through the pairing.

Proud daddy was
showing off his baby tonight!

Pool Time!

We are heading over to heated park pool to see if Sophia likes to swim.
Steve has the day off and is joining us!
Pictures will be posted later!

UPDATE:

The "heated pool" is heated by solar power.

I might be from Alabama...but that's crap!

No swimming today the water in

the "heated pool" was too cold.

Can someone explain this to me...if the sun is OUT then the water is being heated.

Why?

Louie's Beach Run

In front of our RV last week was a narrow strip of sand.
Louie is a wide open sand loving beach junkie!
Guess he's been to a few beaches in his life...
thought I'd share for the folks wondering
about Louie, he's just fabulous!

running out onto the beach his four paws rarely all touch sand at once
way down the beach
High stepping
Shaking it off from going into the water

Lunch Date

Sophia & I picked up Al at the airport and found a beach front seafood
house for lunch.

Big Wishes

Sometimes...

I hear Jeff Foxworthy in my head.

Please see photo above:

Steve opening a can for me with a hammer and chisel scraper thingy.
Effective. Can was opened. Louie was scared.

No worries I purchased a new
can opener today, much to Steve's protesting...

He liked using redneck method!

My girl

Some babies chew on the pacifier...some on the holder.

Big day today:

She rolled over from her tummy to her back!

She has also mastered the death grip hold on things

with an affinity for necklaces!

One Last Sunset

The great thing about Sunset Key RV...
at 5 o'clock everybody blows their horn on their RV.
Signal time to relax and watch the sunset.
Steve blew the AU fight song...I think we were booed.
Not really...but we were in gator country.
We walk out to watch on the pier at the end of the park.
It was very windy, about 30mph, a hard cold wind!
I use the more precise Louie ear test for wind...
it was a two ears up with shivers day.
Walking out to the end
Big smiles for Daddy
Team Kennedy taking in the sunset
Despite the cold wind...
it was so worth it!
Our last sunset in the Keys.
Always fabulous.

Hard to say good bye

View from top of bus. We leave today to head north to Okeechobee.
Thought for a second about blowing the tournament off and staying
here...
Back to work! Or is it?

Key West with the real camera

Do I have to type southernmost point?
Southern most trash can.
(says "90 miles to next trash can" on side)
Steve and Sophia at "The buoy"
We stopped and enjoyed the view for a minute.
Sophia chewed on my hand...
SVK & SMK getting a closer look
Storms out over the ocean
Sophia sleeping through her first
sunset at Mallory Square
Actually awake watching the street performers
Sunsetgate...
Here is the photo of the possibility of a sunset viewing.
Sure there are clouds and the hard line of rain,
but it was ten minutes to showtime.
we thought we could squeeze a peak.
Here is a shot after the jerk of a HUGE cruise ship left
port and BLOCKED the entire horizon. Was there a sunset?
I would love to know...maybe I'll ask
the flippin' rude captain of the ship!?
By the time the giant slug of the sea
had turned...game over.
All done.
Lights out.
Crazy Keys roosters everywhere still

Sign on the way out of town...until next year Key West...
