Views from Ride

We went up the hill into the state park that originally was a national park. Beautiful ride through the trees. Passed St Anne's Cemetery. Skull cave. The Arch. Then saw million dollar view. All of the places had fascinating stories.
Skull cave was an Indian burial site. The arch was believed to be a portal to the afterlife by Natives. The island itself is also sacred. One day I hope to read more about it...while sitting on the world's largest continuos covered porch at the Grand Hotel :).
