Day Two Tours

We weren't playing today. We caught the first ferry and toured as if there was no tomorrow! (No really. We weren't sure SK would make cut or not!)
Started the day with a re-tour of Liberty Bell & Independence Hall. (Sophia left her camera at the bus...) since we were early...no lines! Early bird DOES get the worm.
We also had NO waiting for the Mint Tour. Walked straight in and through the entire thing without crowds. Kids loved it. They have done well with the interactive touch screen floor diagrams. I had never really considered how much time, effort, and money that went into the process of making coins. There are people who look through every coin insuring perfection.
I feel bad for the guy that inspected with great care the pennies my children quickly squashed flat and stamped with Liberty bell and flag...coldly, just across the street for $0.50.
The bust of Benjamin Franklin was originally made from pennies...now it is keys. It's freakishly huge and sits across the street from the cemetery where BF is buried.
