It was suppose to be a severe rain event all day long...
There was some wind, but sunny beautiful instead.
So, of course, we had to do them!

We ate breakfast together, then split up for the day.
Steve, Soso, and I went tackle shop hopping.
Steve took in the really strong, fast moving currentgoing through the pass.
Pier that had a tackle shop up there. We walked out and checked out the fishing
action the night before.
It was amazing to stand out there on the end
and watch the waves crash against that thing
in the dark...
We hit the playground near the boat ramp.Sophia loves to play now.
The swings are by far her favorite.
With daddy standing behind her,she climbed all over the play place!
While Steve was in one tackle store,Sophia and I took in the bird watching area
across the street.
My little birdwatcher. She points and says something,
it's her version of "bird".
We watched them take off in large numbersand land. What a cool free show!
with his new cast net.
We all tagged along to watch.

Here is a photo of Kevin and Steve stalking the fish.
Sophia napped a little...then found the puddle.
She loves playing in water.
Pools, tubs, parking lots.

I let her have at it.
She splashed and crawled around in it.
Her tailgate audience
Steve a little worn out after
throwing the net for a long time.
They hauled in about a dozen?
Parking lot practice in Sophia's puddle.
Kevin throwing.
Don taking shots of Kevin's throw.
Back at camp.
There was what I think was a migration of dragonflies!
I've never seen so many at one time.
It was so beautiful at sunset to see the light
glowing through and off their wings.

When the sun was gone, the dragonflies started landing...
everywhere. On Kerry's chin, Kevin's glasses, our hammock.
