We walked through campground beside the river. No fish to report. We did get a peek the Upper Falls! There's something about the light that's magical. Had to stand in the Merced River for a few minutes because we can. Awesome rain boots.
SJ wanted to show everyone this exposed rootball on the bank. Because it's neat. And it goes( imagine little fingers wiggling and contorting in every direction at once). When you're that passionate about a root ball, you get on the blog!
As we rounded the wooded backside of the camp, I stopped us dead in our stroll. I smelled what can only be compared to a wet dog. I looked at SK, time to turn around!
He respects the my sense of smell. I guess because of the deaf ear, I have heightened other senses. (I can tell when we are in trouble with tires. Bad food. Maybe it's all those years of hanging around beagles ;) ). Who knows. But I smelled wet dog in bear country...our walk over! I didn't freak out the kids just changed course towards the camper!
It was probably a stupid rain drowned chipmunk...

The adventures just keep getting better and better. Appreciated the clinic on mud puddle jumping! What a great trip! Grandma H.
