The final day of the tournament morning,
Norma, Kerry, Soso, & I went back to the creek
where I thought my wallet must have fallen out
of my shorts pocket.
It was a LONG shot.
I figured if we walked up
it and didn't find the thing, I could start
calling and canceling the credit cards.
Tammy had helped me the day before by walking
it, but we saw nothing.
About half way up the creek(ha, ha) Kerry gasps.
Three heads jerked around to her direction.
I think I said, "no way"...Norma maybe, "did you find it?"
It all gets fuzzy at that point.
When Kerry lifted the sucker out of the water, I know
I screamed with excitement!
Then, the dancing in the creek began!
I hugged her neck tight!
I was so excited couldn't hold the camera still
enough to take the picture!
My wallet was in the middle of a good flowing part of the creek
barely trapped under a stick that was up against two rocks.
(I call the stick, God's finger...it shouldn't have stayed there long)
being underwater for the night!
As I hiked out of the creek with the wallet,
I held my hands over my pockets not wanting
to do this adventure again!
Thank you very much to the search and rescue team
of Tammy, Norma, and Kerry.
Thanks for helping find my proof of existence!
I would still be wading in that creek without you guys!
